NR4 + NR5 - 6 bottles (mixed case with 3 of each)
We only ship to Belgium (for now!) - it's a tax thing. The wines are resting in the winery as we speak - we expect them to arrive in Belgium in February/March 2026. This is a mixed case of 3 bottles of NR4 and 3 bottles of NR5. Both wines are low intervention but not funky.
NR4
NR4 is made from old vines of Moscatel, a white grape that has been cultivated in the Itata valley in Chile for centuries. The single vineyard where we picked the Moscatel, also had a couple of stray País vines - that is why there is a pink hue in the wine. We left the skins in the tank during the fermentation, so NR4 is an orange wine.
NR4 smells like nectar, mandarin, orange blossom, black tea and bergamot, and this exotic exuberance continues in the mouth, with a delicious saline minerality to top it all off. The tannins give the wine some structure and with its mouthwatering acidity, this is a wine that you can easily keep for years.
It is a wine that I recommend to drink on its own, but if you must eat, combine with a cheese platter or with a salad.
NR5
NR5 is made from old vines of País, a red grape that has been at home in Itata since the Conquistadores left it there. This blend is made from País vineyards all over Itata, Chile, reflecting the diversity of Itata's terroir.
NR5 smells like dark plum, blueberries, milk chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus. In the mouth, you will taste dark fruit, then a bit of meat, and it'll let you finish long and hard on some peppery notes. The tannins are firm and the wine has a crunchy texture that makes me believe it can survive many years in your cellar.
NR5 is perfect for a late winter meal by the fire, but will work equally well with a juicy steak on your barbecue when summer comes back around.
