NR6 - The Grape
Hárslevelű
Hárslevelű is one of the native grapes of Tokaj, Hungary. Its name means "linden leaf" and it is said that comes from the aroma and flavor of linden in the wines it gives.
Its bunches are long with small berries. Its juice is aromatic and tastes like white stone fruit and nectar. That is why it is a favorite grape to be used in the traditionally sweet wines from Tokaj.
When turned into dry white wine, it turns into a real diva: it gives a strong first impression with saline volcanic notes, then flirts its way through your mouth with an explosion of orchard fruits (think peach and apples) and leaves your mouth watering for more.
In Hungary, they call the sweet wines from Tokaj "Wine for Kings and King of Wines" - our NR6 is a Wine for Queens and Queen of Wines.
